Meet The Team
Lisa- Manager
Hi I’m Lisa. I’m the manager here at Adapt Resettlement/Support worker. We all work hard as a team to support all our tenants in the areas required. We work with all different agencies to do our best to meet the needs of each induvial. My self and the team find this job very rewarding but challenging at the same time. I have worked in support for 10+ years but been the manager here is by far the most rewarding job I have been. The best part about my role is seeing how we can make a difference in some people life’s.

Dave- Support Worker
Hi I’m Dave. I am one of the Support workers at Adapt Resettlement. My favourite part of my role is seeing the bond some of the tenants make when living together after been lonely on the streets for a while. In my time working for Adapt Resettlement I have seen a lot of our tenants make really big changes and that is the most rewarding part about my role.
Jamie-Leigh
Hi I’m Jamie-Leigh my role at Adapt Resettlement is support worker/Admin, I first meet the tenants when they come in to see me for an assessment. The most rewarding thing about my role is seeing how fast the some of the tenants can change their lifestyle with the support from our team.

HOMELESSNESS RELIEF
Adapt Resettlement works with people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness due to various issues such as; - substance misuse, young offenders, refugees and asylum seekers, mental health, and abused wives/husbands etc.
Adapt Resettlement Homelessness services provide supported housing, personal development, volunteer opportunities, education and training opportunities for homeless people as well as those threatened with homelessness. We focus on the person rather than the problem, tailoring our services to meet individual’s specific needs through outcome star or outcome circle. We at AR understand that without the security of a home, it is impossible for many to reach their full potential. With security, support to access employment or training and a healthy supportive living environment, people affected by homelessness flourish, achieving progression and importantly their own personal aspirations.
Adapt Resettlement Homelessness services work to break the no-home, no-hope, no-job cycle by challenging the isolation and insecurity of homelessness that leads to social exclusion. Adapt Resettlement has developed national strategies on person-centred planning and social inclusion to enable people to transform their lives and feel they belong. We work with homeless individuals from a variety of backgrounds, often with complex needs and always strive to provide innovative solutions to suit each person. Working in the community with local commissioners and partner agencies, such as colleges, social and health care services, probation, GPs, private landlords, City council and other housing providers, we ensure that the services we provide are innovative, relevant, accessible and best value for everyone.
BENEFITS
The benefits for the individual and the public is people are better able to take control and manage their own tenancy , finances, employability chances, avoid re-offending, substance dependency and have a better quality of life. AR aims to influence the nature of homelessness services through our own practice, research, training and consultancy, volunteering scheme and signposting.
As people develop their own confidence, self -esteem and skills within their local communities, their reliance on government benefits, costly twenty-four hour care (due to depression, mental health issues, re-offending and substance misuse) frequent visits to GPs and un-planned visits to hospitals are reduced.
OUR VISION
Our vision is for everyone who is experiencing homelessness or threatened with homelessness to have access and appropriate housing/accommodation and timely support (by addressing individually issues contributing and leading to homelessness) enabling them lead valued lives in the community as equal citizens.
Equal Opportunities
Equal opportunities underpins the project and it is the aim of Adapt Resettlement to ensure that there is no lawful or unjust discrimination on the grounds of age, appearance, disability, gender, HIV status, language ability, literacy, nationality, race, religion or sexuality.
